Hey my lovesssss🇳🇬 Happy Independence Day to Nigeria! 🎉🇳🇬 happy new month too 😂❤️Today is such a special day for us Nigerians as we celebrate our freedom from British rule. It's a time to reflect on our amazing history, rich culture, and all the progress we've made as a nation. (with a spectacular side eye)I'm thrilled to be a citizen of this colourful and diverse nation and I’m thrilled to be Yoruba too ☺️☺️☺️Let's celebrate with some delicious Jollof Rice or Amala 😊and embrace our Nigerian identity🇳🇬Let's pretend to be joyful and enjoy the day while ignoring the cost of the buns and the meat pie, alright?
As for everyone running off to different countries, it's quite the trend, isn't it? But hey, let's remember that Nigeria needs us too😂 but if you ever come back to visit, just know that your friends might be out, but there are still so many fun places to explore in Nigeria . Ouch the price of fuel may want you to sit in your house 😔💔but then the wahala with electricity in Nigeria may force you to go out 😂💔But you know what they say, we find humor in our struggles😂 So let's make the best of it🇳🇬When there's no light, we can still have a blast exploring places like Lekki Conservation Centre, Nike Art Gallery, and Freedom Park. These spots are lit even when NEPA decides to take a break! 🔥🌆💡(close your eyes and buy fuel biko)
Now, let's talk about fuel prices😔my love, it's like every time we go to the filling station, the price just keeps going up and up. 🚗💸 It's enough to make you want to go on a trek instead😒But hey, we can't let that dampen our spirits. We'll find ways to cope and make the most of it. Maybe we should start a fuel price support group or something🇳🇬just maybe
And don't even get me started on the electricity situation. NEPA (or is it PHCN now?) can be so unpredictable. One minute, you're enjoying your favorite TV show, and the next minute, darkness? It's like a never-ending episode of "Lights On, Lights Off". But hey, we've become experts at finding alternative sources of light and entertainment. Who needs electricity when we have generators (ouch no fuel 😔💔) well rechargeable fans, and our trusty power banks? We're like superheroes, navigating the darkness with style😂big purrr
But let's not dwell too much on the challenges😒Nigeria is a beautiful country with so much to offer. We have stunning beaches like Tarkwa Bay and Elegushi Beach, where you can soak up the sun and forget about all the wahala And if you're in the mood for some cultural vibes, places like the National Museum, Kalakuta Republic Museum, and the New Afrika Shrine are perfect for immersing yourself in Nigerian history and music. 🎶🎵
Of course, we can't forget about the food, which has its own unique character. Our taste senses are constantly in for a treat, from our beloved Jollof Rice to tantalising suya, delectable puff puff, and the ever-popular amala and ewedu. So let's embrace the peculiarities and find humour in all these rogbodiyan, my friend.
The much-needed public holiday is the one thing that excites me about this Independence Day. I'm fatigued after working 9 to 5 hours almost everyday 😔💔but tomorrow I can finally sleep in and get up whenever I want. But guess what? I firmly believe that Nigeria will succeed in the end. Let's be upbeat and take advantage of this well-earned respite🇳🇬
Together we are one 😂 and I honestly can’t wait to be out of here anyway 😔😭but right now let’s pretend I love my home country
Happy independence 😊🇳🇬9ja to the world or something like tha
