SAPA (Sudden Absence of Purchasing Ability): The word 'SAPA' has been the most used word on social media lately. It is used to describe a state of being extremely broke or poor, usually after spending extravagantly. It is the spirit of poverty that targets one almost all the time😭
With that being said, nothing says we’re in a sapandemic like the fact that it’s November and I’m yet to hear one banger go off. Warrissgoinon.
In the light of this, I decided to do a survey with my friends to find out the most ridiculous thing they’ve spent money on.
Asimiyu: Crocs(52k) I got two and I ended up giving them out. Peer pressure pressured me.
Ade: Weight loss products (over 50k). It didn’t even work. I ended up purging.
Tunde: Phone case(24k). It was for a 12pro max just Incase you’re wondering. And no, it isn’t made of gold and it can’t charge my phone
Adamu: Skin care products (95k) and it didn’t work. I personally think it’s too expensive for it not to work.
Nobody needs to tell you, all these people are part of the Olowo Eko geng 😂😂. I’ve heard stories of people ordering Azul in the club with no intention of paying for it just because they’ve sighted Asake and they know the lyrics to his songs A-Z maybe he’ll pity then and pay ??😭😭 Nigerians will not kill me abeg 😂😂😂
I’ve made so many ridiculous decisions with money. I don’t know how you people leave money in your account o. I can’t even leave Berry Blast in the fridge I won’t be able to sleep until I finish it 😭 The most ridiculous thing I’ve spent money on is food. I was in the middle of my food and I realized I’d need to sleep late so I can skip breakfast 😭 ‘spend it, more will come ‘ ‘you only live once’, ‘money is made to be spent ‘ ‘millions wey go come , go come ‘ 😂these are the ridiculous thoughts in my head when I’m about to spend on something that’ll shake my bank account and end up affecting me 😂 but regardless upon still I’ll do it cause you only live once .
If you think about it. Sapa isn’t even the worst thing. Sometimes give Sapa a chance. There are certain things that only Sapa will teach you.
Healthy living
If we want to be honest with ourselves pizza isn’t really healthy. If you’re broke and your belly wants pizza . You have no choice but to find a substitute. Bread and egg ? 🙈 if you want burger try bread and akara ? To be honest life isn’t that hard . Na you want Hennessy when sprite Dey 😝
You develop an attitude of gratitude
Sapa makes you see things differently. On a normal when your ‘gee’ credits your bank wish 5k , you’d say ‘Is it for Eba, is it for garri? Is it for beanzzz’. But with the shege Sapa has shown you urgent ₦2k will slap , with Sapa you’ll learn to appreciate any and every assistance.
The root of my Sapa is my belly . I am ‘economic’ when it has to with anything but the moment my belly plays that drum?!! It’s goingggggg😭😭😭 I can’t function properly if my cravings aren’t satisfied 🙈
God has been my epic sponsor 🤗He no shout dey for my head. I know something will always drop into my bank account when I spend like a dangote 🐒My God has never flopped and He will never . Money always flows to me, and I won't ever be without it. And that’s on my sponsor ❤️
